Listen to these two live performances and tell me the difference you hear:

If your answer was “Super Junior fans are obnoxiously loud,” you’re correct.
Although I’m not too fond of Super Junior’s music, I quite like what I hear from Super Junior K.R.Y. (especially from that Kyuhyun). When Reeses17 uploaded the audio for Kyuhyun’s solo with Ryeowook on a piano, I was pretty excited. So first I heard Donghae’s solo. It was very nice. I’m guessing it was a good performance because the audience didn’t start screaming until the end. Then Kyuhyun came out with Ryeowook. The girls were chanting “CHO KYUHYUN CHO KYUHYUN~!!” It was sweet, but you couldn’t hear much. Then Ryeowook had a piano solo and all you could hear was a “KIM RYEOWOOK KIM RYEOWOOK!!!” I was really angry.
Being a piano student for a few years, I guess I’m really anal about this, but when you’re listening to a live performance, you’re supposed to shut the **** up. Upbeat music, I’m fine with screaming because it’s the right mood for it. But when it’s a soft song, you can’t soak up anything if you’re screaming. It distracts the performers and it ruins the performance for people who actually want to hear the music. I would also like to address how they chanted during the piano solo. Having no vocals doesn’t mean you’re allowed to scream. The man behind the keyboard, guitar, drums, etc is still a performer. Lend him an ear, not your mouth…for goodness’s sake!!
Let’s look at Leehom’s concert. Okay, they screamed when they realized what song it is. But instantly, they quieted down and listened. A few people made noise, but the majority knew how to be courteous. They waited until he said “Thank you” to start screaming. That, my friends, is a polite audience. Learn from them.
